DesiStation-120 HOCl Generator

Envirolyte DesiStation-120 is a stand-alone on-site hypochlorous acid generator designed to produce fresh HClO solution for professional cleaning, sanitizing and disinfection procedures. The system converts water, salt and electricity into an electrolyzed disinfectant solution close to the point of use.

DesiStation-120 produces up to 120 litres per hour of HClO solution at selectable free available chlorine concentrations of 250 ppm or 500 ppm. Operators can dispense preset volumes of 300 ml, 500 ml or 5 litres, or use continuous production through the integrated dispensing gun.

The unit is intended for facilities that require controlled disinfectant production, simple dispensing and reduced dependence on transported ready-to-use chemicals. Potential applications include healthcare and public facilities, food processing, hospitality, professional hygiene, equipment and surface treatment, subject to application validation and applicable regulations.

On-Site Hypochlorous Acid Production

DesiStation-120 produces HClO through the electrochemical reaction of water, sodium chloride and electricity. The solution is generated on demand rather than transported and stored for extended periods, helping facilities maintain local access to freshly produced disinfectant solution.

The unit monitors operating parameters including water flow, pressure, brine concentration and cell temperature. Integrated controls automate production, dispensing and cell flushing while helping maintain the selected HClO concentration.

Water preparationIncoming water passes through the integrated pressure regulator, water softener and 20-micron filter.
Brine preparationThe integrated salt hopper supplies brine at the concentration required by the electrochemical cell.
Electrochemical generationWater, salt and electricity are converted into HClO-rich anolyte at the selected FAC concentration.
Automated monitoringFlow, pressure, brine concentration and cell temperature are monitored during production.
DispensingThe operator selects a preset volume or continuous output through the dispensing gun.

Output and Dispensing Options

DesiStation-120 is designed for both bottle or container filling and continuous production. The touchscreen interface allows the operator to select the required concentration and dispensing volume according to the facility procedure.

Microbiological Performance Evidence

Envirolyte maintains a separate evidence section covering microbiological testing of anolyte. Reported testing includes bactericidal performance according to EN 13727, yeasticidal performance according to EN 13624 and virucidal testing according to EN 14476 under the specific concentrations, contact times and laboratory conditions stated in the reports.

For example, the Envirolyte evidence page reports a ≥5 log bactericidal reduction using 250 ppm hypochlorous acid with a 60-second contact time under the specified EN 13727 test conditions. It also reports ≥4 log yeasticidal reduction against Candida albicans under the specified EN 13624 conditions. These results must be interpreted according to the tested concentration, contact time, soil conditions and intended application.

See microbiological testing of Envirolyte anolyte for the detailed organisms, methods and test conditions.

Professional Applications

DesiStation-120 can be evaluated for facilities that require frequent local access to hypochlorous acid solution for validated surface, equipment and environmental hygiene procedures. Relevant Envirolyte application areas include healthcare hygiene, food processing, hospitality, industrial applications and on-site water disinfection.

Application and Compliance Considerations

Disinfection performance depends on concentration, contact time, temperature, organic load, surface condition, cleaning procedure and the target microorganism. Users should validate the intended application and follow the relevant product, biocide, workplace safety and sector-specific requirements in the country of use.

Health-related or infection-control statements should not be interpreted as guaranteed clinical outcomes. DesiStation-120 does not replace an infection-control programme, risk assessment, cleaning protocol, staff training or regulatory approval.

Related compliance and safety resources include ECHA and BPR information, quality control and certifications, acute toxicity testing, chronic toxicity information and by-products testing.
