Independent Acute Toxicity Testing

The acute toxicity study was undertaken by the Institute of Chemistry of Tallinn Technical University, Estonia.

The study included 24-hour acute toxicity testing with Daphnia magna according to Finnish standard SFS 5062.

Two anolyte types were evaluated:

  • Anolyte medium at dilutions of 1:100, 1:500 and 1:1000;
  • Anolyte strong at dilutions of 1:50, 1:200 and 1:500.

Interpretation of the Results

The acute toxicity test demonstrated that no acute effects were reported for anolyte diluted 1:500 or more under the conditions of the study.

The test also reported no significant differences in acute toxicity between the two tested anolyte types, medium and strong, when results were recalculated for the initial anolyte.
