Anolyte is an electrochemically activated disinfectant solution generated on site from water, salt and electricity. Depending on the operating parameters, it contains active chlorine species, including hypochlorous acid, which are responsible for its antimicrobial activity.

Bactericidal Activity
In laboratory testing, the product under test, “Anolyte”, demonstrated bactericidal activity for hygienic handrub disinfection according to EN 13727:2012+A2:2015. The reported result was a ≥5 log reduction under clean conditions at 20.1 °C.
The test was performed using 250 ppm hypochlorous acid with a 60-second contact time against the following reference organisms:
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa
- Staphylococcus aureus
- Escherichia coli K12
- Enterococcus hirae
Yeasticidal Activity
Anolyte also demonstrated yeasticidal activity according to EN 13624:2013. The reported result was a ≥4 log reduction under clean conditions at 20.1 °C.
The test was performed using 250 ppm hypochlorous acid with a 60-second contact time against the reference strain Candida albicans.
This section should be described as yeasticidal activity rather than sporicidal activity unless a separate sporicidal test report is available.
Virucidal Activity
The antiviral activity of Anolyte was tested according to EN 14476, the quantitative suspension test method used to evaluate virucidal activity of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics in the medical area.
In the reported test, Anolyte in 1:1 dilution demonstrated virucidal activity against non-enveloped DNA and RNA viruses at 20 °C in the presence of 0.3 g/L BSA.
- ≥4 log reduction of Adenovirus type 5 after 1 minute contact time;
- ≥5.4 log reduction of Poliovirus 1 Sabin strain after 1 minute contact time;
- ≥4.2 log reduction of Murine Norovirus after 1 minute contact time.
According to the reported EN 14476 test interpretation, activity against adenovirus, poliovirus and murine norovirus supports a broad virucidal activity claim under the conditions of the test.
